Capabilities

Intelligence Rooted in Every Field

KenAgri fuses data from every source — ground sensors, aerial imagery, and weather forecasts — into a single predictive intelligence layer.

Crop Health Monitoring
Continuous multispectral analysis of crop canopy using drone imagery and satellite feeds, detecting stress indicators, chlorophyll deficiencies, waterlogging, and early disease signatures days before they are visible to the naked eye. Precise field-level heat maps guide targeted intervention rather than whole-field treatment.
Yield Prediction Model
7-day and 30-day yield forecasts by field zone, crop type, and growth stage — enabling better harvest scheduling, logistics planning, and contract commitments.
Soil & Moisture Fusion
Combine NPK, temperature, pH, and volumetric moisture readings from in-ground sensors with aerial NDVI data for a full-stack soil health picture.
Automated Irrigation
Precision irrigation scheduling per zone based on crop water demand models, soil moisture data, and short-term weather forecasts — eliminating over and under-watering.
Pest & Disease Detection
Computer vision classifies 200+ crop diseases and pest damage patterns from drone imagery with 99% accuracy, enabling targeted treatment before spread.
Weather Correlation
Integrates hyperlocal weather station data and forecast APIs to correlate climate events with crop responses, improving prediction accuracy continuously.
How It Works

From Field Sensors to Precision Harvest

Three steps to data-driven farming that maximises every acre.

1
Deploy Sensors & Connect Drones
Install soil sensor arrays across your fields and connect your drone fleet or satellite imagery provider. KenAgri supports all major hardware vendors and standard data formats — setup is straightforward.
2
KenAgri Builds Your Crop Model
AI fuses all data streams — soil, imagery, weather, and historical yield records — into a unified field intelligence model. The system learns your soil variability, microclimates, and crop performance patterns over time.
3
Precision Actions Recommended & Automated
KenAgri delivers zone-specific recommendations for irrigation, fertilisation, and intervention — and automates execution where connected actuators and pivot systems are in place.

Common Questions

KenAgri FAQ

What is KenAgri and what types of farms is it designed for?

KenAgri is a precision agriculture AI platform that combines drone-based multispectral imaging, ground-level IoT sensors, and predictive analytics to give farmers and agronomists actionable, field-level intelligence. It is designed for row crops (wheat, maize, rice, soybean), high-value horticulture (tomato, pepper, vine), and plantation crops (sugarcane, cotton). Minimum viable deployment starts at around 50 acres; the platform scales to estates of 50,000+ acres through satellite-assisted coverage.

What diseases and pests can KenAgri identify?

KenAgri's crop health models cover 150+ disease and nutrient deficiency signatures across supported crops — including leaf rust, powdery mildew, early blight, bacterial wilt, and nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium deficiency patterns. Pest detection (fall armyworm, aphids, whitefly) is available through ground-level camera traps integrated with the platform. New disease models can be added using transfer learning from your region's specific pathogen variants in 3–6 weeks.

Does KenAgri require drones, or can it work with existing satellites?

KenAgri is sensor-agnostic. It works with drone-mounted multispectral cameras (DJI Matrice, Parrot Sequoia, MicaSense), fixed-wing UAV payloads, satellite imagery (Sentinel-2, Planet Labs, Maxar), and ground-level IoT sensors. For high-resolution disease scouting at the leaf level, drones provide 2–5 cm GSD imagery that satellites cannot match. For large estates, a hybrid approach — satellite for weekly overview, drones for triggered deep-dive scans — is the most cost-effective configuration.

How does KenAgri's yield prediction model work?

Yield prediction combines canopy NDVI time-series, soil moisture telemetry, historical weather data, and agronomic stage markers (germination, tillering, heading, grain fill). A crop-specific machine learning model — trained on 10+ years of regional yield datasets — produces per-field yield forecasts updated weekly. Forecast accuracy is typically ±8–12% at 60 days before harvest and improves to ±4–6% at 30 days. Forecasts are used to drive variable-rate irrigation and fertilisation schedules.

Does KenAgri work in areas with limited internet connectivity?

Yes. KenAgri is built for low-connectivity rural environments. IoT sensor nodes store and forward data over LPWAN (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT) and can buffer up to 72 hours of readings offline. The farm management dashboard operates in a Progressive Web App model — field data is cached locally and synced when connectivity is available. Drone imagery is processed on-board or at a field edge server, with only compressed analytical outputs (not raw images) sent to the cloud.

Can KenAgri be used for carbon credit and ESG reporting?

Yes. KenAgri generates the soil health, input-use, and yield-per-acre data required for Verra, Gold Standard, and Soil Carbon Initiative reporting frameworks. The platform tracks water use efficiency, synthetic input reduction, and cover crop biomass estimates — all standard metrics for regenerative agriculture carbon programmes. Several of our food & beverage enterprise customers use KenAgri data directly in Scope 3 agricultural emissions reporting.
